A long tradition of making coach boats
At Tornado Boats International we have a long tradition of designing and manufacturing customized coach boats to customers all over the world.
All our small and medium-sized RIBs are particularly suited for coaching, because their relatively short length make them fast, agile and 100 % reliable.
What makes Tornado RIBs ideal for the dedicated sailing coach or any other support function that demands long days at sea (like race course guiding), is the classic V-hull design.
This design offers comfort and safety in the hardest conditions, and ensures that you won’t feel beaten up, even after 8 hours at sea, which is why our coach boats are being used worldwide at Yacht Club practice and at championships and regattas.
The new Tornado 6m coach boat
At the Hempel World Sailing Championships in Aarhus (31st of July – 12th of august 2018), we launched a brand new Tornado 6m coach boat. This model is longer and a bit narrower than all our traditional coach boats.
It has the maximum measurements allowed by the Olympic Committee and has been optimized from specifications from renowned international sailing coaches, demanding a longer and extremely agile coach boat.
Reduced planing threshold
The primary quality of the Tornado 6m coach boat is a reduced planing threshold. This gives the boat great stability in the water, it optimizes the boat’s medium speed and its stability of direction and makes it very controllable during long training sessions in harsh weather conditions.

4.8M MULTI PURPOSE RIB
The 4.8m Multi Purpose RIB is one of the most popular boats in use by sailboat coaches, because it’s very agile and can turn in a tight radius.

The 5.4m High Performance RIB is also very suited for coaching. The hull is designed with a very narrow V-shape and high lifted bow, which helps to secure remarkable sea keeping properties for a boat of its size.
